Work Permit Application & Renewal
The nature of the Singapore business environment is also one that dictates the presence of many foreign workers. These foreign employees have to abide by the strict regulations set forth by Singapore foreign worker statutes and that includes obtaining a Singapore work permit. Obtaining these work permits is not as cut and dry as one would think. That is the very reason why many Singapore companies choose to have us at ICS help them with any foreign employee work permit application needs they might have.
Singapore work permits pertain to both skilled and semi-skilled workers. Not every job in the country can be filled by a foreigner with a work permit. There are quota restrictions on jobs, possible levies associated with employing foreign workers and some nations are not eligible to be source countries for employees. ICS is familiar with all these rules and quotas and will be a great asset to your company with this part of the work permit application process.
ICS offers a full range of Singapore work permit application services. These include everything from the initial application of the work permit itself to the termination of that work permit when an employee leaves the company. The work permit is a must have item for any foreign worker in Singapore. Any company that does not have these permits issued to all of their foreign workers and keep them up to date is subject to stiff fines and penalties for not being in compliance with Singapore’s business operating statutes.
Having a third party provider like ICS to handle this aspect of your business can be very beneficial and lessen the work permit burden on your company. We know all the ins and outs with Singapore work permit applications and it can really help streamline the application process for you and your foreign employees.
Our Singapore work permit management teams are highly familiar with going online to perform such work permit transactions as applying for the initial permit, checking the current status of the permit, renewing the work permit and cancelling any work permit that is no longer needed.

The Steps of the Work Permit Process at a Glance
ICS will first lay the preliminary groundwork for the work permit application. This includes checking on any quota limitations for the position, checking source countries that are approved to fill the position and notify you of any tax levies associated by filling that position with a foreign worker.
Once the preliminary steps have been completed we will file the work permit application on your behalf. In order to do this we will need a copy of the new foreign employees passport, entry card and a certificate of their education degree or specialty skill.
The Ministry of Manpower may require additional information in order to issue the work permit. If this is the case we will quickly notify you so you can get that information to us so we can submit it and keep the work permit process flowing smoothly.
Under normal circumstances it only takes 1 or 2 weeks for a work permit to be approved.
